Getting the right hat size is the difference between all-day comfort and a headache. Here is how to get it right.
Measure your head
Use a soft tape measure around the widest part of your head, about one inch above your eyebrows. Most adult heads measure between 21 and 24 inches. Compare your measurement to the hat's size chart before ordering.
Check the fit system
Many hats use adjustable systems like interior sweatbands that expand up to an inch, drawstrings, or snapback closures. If you are between sizes, an adjustable hat gives you flexibility. Fixed-size hats need a closer match.
Consider the season
Breathable polyester-cotton blends work well for summer. The fabric allows airflow while blocking sun. For winter, look for thicker materials that retain warmth without being stiff.
With the right size, your hat will stay put and feel comfortable all day.
